DCExile is a blog dedicated to chronically international and domestic politics and economics with a progressive slant. Ben and Jason are friends from graduate school who have been having a long political conversation for nearly six years, sometimes over drinks and sometimes over thousands of miles. DCExile is a way for you to watch and participate in that conversation.
Ben’s Bio
I earned a law degree from Emory University School of Law that heavily emphasized international law and the law of armed conflict. There I also served as Editor-in-Chief of the Emory International Law Review. Before attending law school, I earned an MA in international affairs from the Elliott School of International Affairs at the George Washington University. I have published articles in several law and policy reviews both online and in print. You can read some of my articles and working papers at my SSRN page.
Jason’s Bio
I earned a BA in Economics and did graduate coursework in International Affairs with a focus on US Foreign Policy in Washington, DC. Despite the title of the blog I still live in DC. I grew up in the Midwest and when I’m not blogging about international and domestic politics you’ll find me cooking, listening to Pardon the Interruption, or doing both at the same time.
