Chart of the Day

It would probably be helpful to add some additional context to this chart, with the Toil Index measuring the "number of hours that median earners must toil each month to be able to rent a house in a school district of at least average quality."

In any case, the chart is great argument for school choice, as I have previously noted.

Thanks, Colin. I believe that note is at the bottom of the chart.

Another solution would be to decouple school funding from geographic districts. Why should government (or private business, for that matter) be in the business of buttressing entrenched economic structures?
