- John Edwards will be indicted today.
- Speaker Boehner has introduced an alternative Libyan resolution that would force U.S. "withdrawal" from Libya within 15 days. All the Congressional posturing on Libya strikes this editor as simultaneously useless and stupid. Useless because (1) the United States is merely providing support to NATO operations; and (2) it seems likely to set up a Constitutional fight Congress is likely to lose--if Congress can even secure judicial review. Stupid because U.S. support for the NATO intervention in Libya is already paying public diplomacy dividends.
- More indications that Congress is turning towards an early withdrawal from Afghanistan.
- NPR compares Romney's 2007 and 2011 presidential roll-outs (audio). Less than 24 hours in and the AP is already hammering Romney for distorting facts.
- Following shelling in Yemen, opposition TV is reporting President Saleh is dead. State-run media is denying the reports.
